The design process starts by taking a look at any wedding inspiration you have, whether it is invitation-related or not. Do you love the lace on your gown? Are you swooning over the flowers you’ve chosen with your florist? Does your venue have beautiful ironwork that inspires you? If you’ve put together a wedding board on Pinterest, that is helpful too! Taking a look at any and all things that inspire you for your wedding is the first step in creating invitations you love. We’ll exchange emails, or if you’re local, meet in person to begin putting ideas together. We’ll also discuss all important dates and create our timeline for designing and printing before the whole process begins.
We will start by creating several versions of the main invitation. We’ll look at different typefaces, colors, layouts, and patterns, and we’ll mix and match to decide which one to move forward with. Based on that main design, we’ll then create the coordinating pieces of the suite and solidify the final details of how it will be assembled. It may take a couple rounds of edits, but we’ll work together to create invitations that you’re excited about!
Once you give the final OK on the design, the files will be sent off to print. At that point, it takes about 5 weeks for the invitations to be printed, assembled, and packed to ship out to you!
Take a look at an ideal timeline *this can change depending on when we are contacted and how prompt the client is with responding to edits*
